Created by fitness instructor Martin del Villar, Powerumba is a Dance Fitness Method focused on working the different heart rate zones through the essence and dance moves of various musical genres including salsa, reggaeton, merengue, samba, bachata, cumbia, soca and more, making it a continuous cardio workout.

Powerumba's progressive method starts from the basic steps of each genre and transitions to more complex choreographies. This workout leads to the improvement of physical, emotional and coordinative conditions through dance and simultaneously increases the cardiovascular capacity by working on different heart rate zones.
